Three Identical Strangers is a charming, shocking and emotional documentary about the supposedly sweet reunion between a set of triplets separated as babies. The documentary hits the ground running by introducing the crazy — but totally true — story of three 19-year-old boys who discover that they are triplets when two of them coincidentally attend the same college. The discovery will make you laugh and shed a tear (or three). We see a glimpse of the insanity that followed the discovery and explore the truly fascinating nature of identical triplets. However, the story quickly turns from sweet and endearing to downright devastating, and there are several discoveries that will make you gasp and scream in frustration. Directed by Tim Wardle, Three Identical Strangers is a documentary that opens your eyes to the darkness of the world. The film leaves you wanting more, but you realize that you are just as clueless as the triplets themselves. It is an explosive piece of filmmaking that should definitely be seen. |
